When you have lost your way whether it is stress from work, luck not going your way, or just generally in a slump, then the healthiest medicine with one tiny little side affect would have to be a kite.
A kite gives you an amazing feeling as your flying all your problems just melt away you could have gone out feeling like you could kill some one and after 30mins of flying you will be mellow and totally chilled out. I have personally found that flying does wonders to improve your mood, after a long days work instead of the pub pull the kite out and have a fly you will feel much better and hey you can always have a pint after flying a kite.
Whats the side affect you asked, well its an addiction really you can easily end up being hooked on kite flying and will spend a lot of time looking out the windows at trees or anything that moves in the wind, dreaming about when your next fix will come.
What could be better in the summer than down the beach or your local park in the sun with a gentle breeze flying a kite.
Its Been a long time since my last update, cant give you much good news unfortunately as the kite world just wants to dish out bad news when, all we want is a bit of good news and great weather. A good 5 months of a solid sunny 15-25mph south westerly would be stunning for all located on the south coast.
The Bad news Is prices are still going up unfortunately, Flexifoil buggy price is now a recommended £549.95, MBS land boards have also been punished with rising costs seeing the pro boards touch £500 you can buy a top end kitesurf board for that.
Some pleasing news is that through out April flexifoil have knocked the price back to 2008 prices so if you have been holding of on a purchase make sure you get in now. this offer is only applicable to land kites (stackers, stings, rage, blurr, blade).

The snowboard holiday i had at the start of the year was immense unfortunately didn’t get the kite out as their was little wind but also public transport to the col du lauret was a little uncompromising. My advice if you want to snowkite hire a vehicle so you have control of where you want to be and when.
What a surprise i had on Monday the 3rd to wake up and see snow had settled in Bournemouth and was occasionally snowing through the day shame we are so close to the sea as the snow depth never matured enough to get the snowboard out and have a blast with the kite.
This isn’t funny anymore snowing again after it had all melted away and pretty heavy as well.
All i can say is roll on the summer, with plenty off wind and sun.
Hopefully this year will see a better ratio for how many times we can get out to fly a kite. whats been ordered is a nice warm summer with a gentle breeze that picks up in the afternoon for an evening buggy or landboard.
Get in now while you can as from 12/1/09 the prices of flexifoil kites will be going up unfortunately something I cant swallow and neither can flexifoil.
On a happier note stay tuned as I’m off on holiday 4th Jan for a weeks snowboarding and maybe a couple of days snow kiting in Serre Chevalier, where current snow conditions are awesome and are due more snow midweek while i am out there.
The shop will be open as usual and everything will be processed just as if I was there, so don’t hesitate to pop in or give us a ring for any information you might have.

Their is one bonus for me with the weather being so poor here is that France is getting continual snow and its going to be looking like I’m going to get some snow kiting in while ripping up the mountain in serre Chevalier. Less than 3 weeks to go and don’t worry the shop will still be open and it will be business as usual.
